Plenty of Options to Recycle E-Waste

There are several locations in the Fredericton Region Solid Waste’s region to dispose of electronic waste.
FRSW, which operates the region’s landfill and recycling collection, can accept e-waste, but there is a tipping fee charge for bringing in material such as televisions, computers and other electronic materials.
An alternative is the Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA), a not-for-profit, industry led organization, aimed at keeping end-of-life electronics out of New Brunswick landfills.
What electronic products are accepted?
EPRA New Brunswick accepts and recycles a range of regulated electronic products including:
• Display devices (such as televisions and monitors)
• Desktop printers, computers and peripherals (such as keyboards)
• Home theatre in a box (HTB) systems
• Cellular devices
• Non-cellular telephones
• Audio and video systems
Drop off locations in the FRSW area are:
• Best Metal Bottles (Fredericton)
• Northside Redemption Center (Fredericton)
• Southside Redemption (Fredericton)
• Tri R Redemption (Oromocto)
• Minlak (Minto)
