Fredericton Region Solid Waste has re-opened to residential customers.
Fredericton Region Solid Waste is operating under its regular hours including Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There have been changes as FRSW makes necessary adjustments during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A number of FRSW on-site programs are open including Household Hazardous Waste depot each Wednesday (7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.) and Saturday (7:30 a.m.-3 p.m.), electronic waste collection, scrap metal, recycle depot for plastics No. 1 through 7, aluminum cans, paper and cardboard; wood/brush and debris. Shredding services are available, but customers must bring the product to the landfill.
Payment at the landfill scales is debit or cash.
FRSW is asking residents to be patient and exercise safety and caution on Alison Boulevard and on-site. Vehicle traffic entering debris site will be directed to designated lanes for safety reasons.
The Recycle@Work program remains suspended until further notice.
Also, a reminder, residents are asked to continue placing their blue and grey boxes for curbside
All guided landfill tours and off-site visits have been suspended for the immediate future.
