Recycling is one of the most important things people can do to keep the earth healthy and clean. Along with reducing and reusing, recycling forms the three R’s of protecting the environment. There are three processes involved with recycling at Fredericton Region Solid Waste – Sorting, Processing and Selling.
FRSW also recycles residential electronic waste. You can drop off your items – anything with a cord or a battery! – at FRSW’s on-site e-waste location at 1775 Alison Blvd.
The locations for the Fredericton recycling depots are as follows: 232 Rookwood Ave, Brookside Mall, and Willie O’Ree Place parking lot on the Northside.
The depots are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The following is a list items accepted at the depots: Corrugated cardboard, boxboard, newspapers, flyers, magazines, catalogues, office paper, paperback books, plastic containers, No. 4 plastic bags, refundable beverage containers, milk cartons and metal cans.
